The University of Minnesota Emergency Medical Services (UMEMS) is one of six programs featured in the article “Back to School: Another Look at College-Based EMS” in the October 30, 2019, issue of EMS World. The article examines the important role these programs play not only in serving the EMS needs of campus communities, but also in providing educational opportunities for students. Robert Ball, EMS Team Manager, believes that one of the strengths of the UMEMS program is the students’ “true spirit of giving back to their university community.”
